Job Designation The Controller, ensures an effective internal control structure, budget, and reporting process over 4 manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico. Drives relevant process improvements and ensures an effective risk management process. Manages relevant process improvements and ensures an effective risk management plan. Job Core Responsibilities Leads the accounting department and advises management in interpreting and utilizing managerial accounting information Manages all accounting operations, while monitoring costs and capital expenditures Oversees cost accounting for all 4 locations, updating of BOM's as needed, and supervises the annual standard cost updates Develops business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Ensures timely and complete financial statements and oversees the preparation of all audited financial statements Accurately reports the financial results of Meggitt's operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) - Prepares reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations - Provides financial analyses, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations - Gathers and analyzes data to inform commercial pricing decisions; validates accuracy and integrity to ensure competitive proposals and pricing decisions - Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs - Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations Partners with the Sr Manager of FP&A in helping with the global Finance and Accounting strategic plan for all sites, while ensuring the maximization of the company's financial performance. - Other responsibilities as assigned - The primary duties of this job require management of business or department, supervising 2 or more full time employees (or equivalent). Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
