DHL Express currently has an opening for Safety Manager_PM based in the CVG Hub.
The Senior Safety Manager designs, leads and manages safety programs to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with safety requirements for the hub facility.
They develop and lead the safety management system in line with the Safety First Framework, develop cultural change initiatives, monitor compliance, conduct data analysis and recommend preventative actions.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL? Lead on safety management for all PM operational safety related items, and actively monitors compliance and improvement programs.
Supports the Safety Plan for the facility.
Active member of Regional Safety Team and Committee Ensure full compliance with all Safety Regulations as they apply.
Program management lead on specific safety related initiatives and enhancements.
Manage and develop PM Safety Team Ensure compliance with the Safety First Framework across the facility Ensure appropriate and professional provision of Safety support to the PM Leadership team to ensure, incident prevention and safety culture development.
Work as the internal PM Safety Incident Coordinator, ensuring that Emergency response programs are followed Track and analyze PM incident trends and communicate target specific recommendations for improved safety performance to Leadership.
Manage worker's compensation claims profile and provides updates to Leaders on PM shift Applies risk assessment principles and provides support in developing safe operating procedures with safer by design principles.
Support hazard prevention programs and initiatives Lead serious incident investigations using SIF program principles associated with PM shift Ensure suitable reporting processes are followed and maintained using effective indicators to promote continuous improvement Ensure effective communications with all relevant parties, both internally and externally.
Ensure PM Safety Action Teams are effective Promote the DHL safety culture using safety leadership principles Key Accountabilities:
Conducts inspections and assessments to evaluate the business performance in relation to Corporate H&S directives, guidelines and regulatory requirement.
Support risk assessment program, provide assistance, training and advice.
Manage the EHS/ I-CARE safety management software and ensure incident reporting in accordance to local and DHL guidelines.
Report on H&S incidents to SMT and Head of Regional Health & Safety.
Manage injury management program including DHL Onsite clinic Lead PM investigations for H&S incidents and recommend control measures.
Analyze H&S statistics to determine trends and assist in identifying priorities for action.
Support business initiative to achieve external H&S certifications.
