Job Duties Patient Transport with use of Tele-tracking software system; safely and courteously transport patients to various areas as requested, using proper equipment, verifying patient name, date of birth, room number and destination and documenting such.
Notifies responsible party upon arrival and reports any medical problem keeping all patient information confidential, ensuring safety, courteous and confidential transport of each patient to the correct destination as requested.
Practices good hand hygiene.
Transport is responsible for the maintenance and disinfecting of departmental equipment; stretchers, wheelchairs and beds when transport by bed and equipment rooms.
All associates shall follow the applicable safety steps required to perform their duties to ensure safety for themselves and their patients, and be in compliance with Medical Center, state and federal safety standards.
Examples of such steps may include:
performing proper safety procedures and precautions; reporting safety concerns and incidents; using correct lifting techniques (minimal lift & maxi slides) and disposing or sharps and infectious was properly.
Performs other duties as assigned to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the department.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently, interdependently and set priorities.
Demonstrate ability to accept and adapt to change.
