Responsibilities:
o Assist with compliance of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
o Assist in driving an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
o Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement.
o Prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently.
o Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.
o Work collaboratively with contractors that maintain Amazon Environmental System.
o Support the completion of environmental incident investigations.
o Assist with managing and handling regulated waste programs.
o Assist with inspection and over site of Under Ground Fuel Storage and Hydrant Fuel Systems.
o Tracking of air emissions.
o Assist with storm water compliance, stream inspections and sampling.
o Assist with Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Shop Inspections.
o Assist in inspection and oversite of Deicing Fluid Management Systems.
o Inspection during delivery of fuel and deicing fluid products.
o Inspect construction projects to assure sediment and erosion controls are maintained.
o Inspect oil/water separators, glycol storage tanks, and pump stations.
o Assist with spill clean-ups and emergency response.
Eligibility Requirements:
o Individuals hired into this position will have unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA).
For this reason, eligibility for this role will be limited to individuals who pass a security screening, as required by the FAA, DHS, and TSA (as applicable) o Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
o This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing.
Federal law requires Amazon to determine an applicant's history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position, if applicable.
A day in the lifeThe Site Environmental Technician (SET) will be responsible for assisting the Site Environmental Manager (SEM) with environmental compliance at Air Hubs/Gateways.
The SET will assist in implementation and enforcement of standards and policies to support environmental and regulatory compliance and provide guidance for operations, maintenance and construction teams.
The individual will complete environmental inspections and performance analysis, monitor metrics, and assist teams in implementation of Amazon environmental standards.
Will support the SEM with daily site initiatives on an airport tracking compliance and continuous improvement of environmental programs.
This role specifically will support standard Amazon/Sortation Operations in addition to Aviation Operations such as Aircraft Deicing, GSE Maintenance, Various Fueling Operations, KPDES Permit Compliance, DMF Treatment, UST compliance and various sustainability activities.
The SET will work with internal and external partners that include government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.
The SET will work outside in all weather conditions and any shift based on availability.

Erlanger, KY, USA.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
